The Janelle Bertot Memorial H.O.S.A. Scholarship

Janelle's Wishing Well Foundation has partnered with Janelle's High School (Western High School), Florida International University, as well as Phi Sigma Sigma, to provide scholarships to deserving students interested in health care, who share Janelle's desire of fostering community volunteerism.

The recipient makes the commitment to become an advocate of Janelle’s Wishing Well for one year.

Requisites to Apply and Selection Criteria.

1. Transcript - emphasis on challenging courses; focus on health science and science curriculum.
2. Leadership Activities - HOSA related activities and involvement, as well as other student/school organizations, athletics, band, and other activities that develop and enhance leadership skills.
3. Recognition and Awards - demonstrating clear evidence of leadership, responsibility and commitment.
4. Community Involvement - contributions that impact community service.
5. References - providing specific examples of candidate’s attributes and good moral character.
6. Eligible candidates may obtain the HOSA SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION through their school's local HOSA Advisor.  The Application must reference THE JANELLE BERTOT MEMORIAL H.O.S.A. SCHOLARSHIP.
